- What is a specialized inspection?
- A general home inspection looks at the interior and exterior of a property for defects. You may need to hire a specialist if the property includes a pool, hot tub, septic tank, or wiring for high-tech equipment.
- Specialists may also be hired if you suspect lead or mold, or if you are concerned about radon, a naturally occurring gas that exists in soil. High levels are considered toxic.
- Termite and pest inspections are also specialized and must be ordered separately form the standard home inspection.
